I like the idea of Dog Town however, I did not find much humor or romance in this book. I understand Marti trying to hang in through rough times in a job in a small town. I understand Marti being the type of person that other people bully, such as her boss (never let her finish a sentence and touched her all the time), husband (took the dog and left for several months then returns and dumps an untrained dog on her and disappears again), dog trainer (just a nasty person) etc? None of that bullying is funny. The worst part came when some one kept letting her dog out. Since this is a story, nothing bad happens to the dog running loose on the streets at night. However, this is another case of bullying. That certainly had me turn off my kindle for a while and decide if I would continue reading. I did finish the book and still found no romance and not much humor.
